A true gap — the whole bar traded above the previous bar's high — confirmed by heavy volume. The volume leg matters: an unconfirmed gap fills far more often than one backed by participation. Results are limited to tickers with real volume; an illiquid name matching a screen is not a tradeable idea.

How this screen is evaluated
Every ticker is checked on its last closed bar, so a match cannot appear mid-session and disappear at the close. Tickers without enough history to compute the condition are excluded rather than counted as non-matching — a screen needing a 200-period average simply skips a symbol that has traded for fifty days.
