It fires often in choppy conditions, which is why the same cross occurring below the zero line is usually treated as the higher-quality reversal setup. Results are limited to tickers with real volume; an illiquid name matching a screen is not a tradeable idea.

Every ticker is checked on its last closed bar, so a match cannot appear mid-session and disappear at the close. Tickers without enough history to compute the condition are excluded rather than counted as non-matching — a screen needing a 200-period average simply skips a symbol that has traded for fifty days.
